In an international context marked by the "geopolitics of chaos," Volume VIII, Issue 4 (October-December) 2026 of Política Internacional offers a critical and multidisciplinary examination of the forces reshaping the global order. This issue addresses, from diverse epistemological and geographical coordinates, the contest over critical minerals and decarbonization, infrastructure as a new hegemonic board among great powers, and the structural contradictions at the center of the system, including the authoritarian reconfiguration of the U.S. state and the transatlantic fracture. The Cuban Diplomacy section confronts the war against the island, analyzing bilateral cooperation, the blockade as collective punishment, and post-truth as an informational weapon. Likewise, the focus expands toward the Global South and the new paradigms of conflict: the Vietnam-China-United States triangulation, the crisis of the secular state in India, the geopolitical narratives of human rights, the metamorphoses of transnational neofascism, the fragmentation of global trade, the geoeconomic use of stablecoins, and the risks of militarizing climate security. The issue closes with insightful reflections on Fidel Castro's thought and Trumpism as an expression of a declining empire. We trust that the contributions gathered here will help unravel contemporary dynamics, as well as propose new questions and analytical perspectives among our readers.
