The first issue of Política internacional for 2026 is published amidst profound systemic disruption, as the architecture of global power undergoes a process of accelerated redefinition, revealing both the erosion of traditional hegemony and the consolidation of cooperation and confrontation strategies originating from the Global South. The section "The World We Live In" examines, from diverse perspectives and issues, the intrinsic connection between the internal fragmentation of hegemonic powers and its impact on international dynamics. Complementarily, the section "Cuban Diplomacy" addresses various dimensions of international relations, as well as aspects of Cuba's history and foreign policy. Finally, the section "International Relations" addresses the emergence of new alternatives for global governance and cooperation. We trust that this issue will act as a catalyst for constructive debate and foster a deeper understanding of this discipline.
