This second issue of 2024 of our journal presents a selection of articles that address multiple relevant topics in the field of international relations. It analyzes the advance of the extreme right in the European Union and Latin America, as well as the relative decline of the hegemony of the United States and its impact on inter-American relations. The emergence of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) and the contribution of the Mexican presidency to its revitalization, the strategy of the People's Republic of China in the competition for global technological leadership, and the de-dollarization of international financial and commercial transactions are highlighted. The section "Cuban Diplomacy" delves into the relations between Cuba and the Soviet Union, Cuba's performance in the G77 plus China, and Cuba's foreign policy towards Japan. In addition, topics such as the impact of unilateral coercive measures, contemporary trends in the world system, International Humanitarian Law, contemporary academic diplomacy, the disarmament process in Colombia, the impacts of Transnational Corporations in Latin America and the Caribbean, and the positions of the Alliance of Small Island States in the negotiations on climate change are addressed. We hope that the articles presented provide an enriching vision and contribute to the analysis of the complex dynamics of international politics in today's world.
