Change of name of the Higher Institute of International Relations “Raúl Roa García” to University of International Relations “Raúl Roa García” (ISRI)

On March 19, 2026, the Council of State of the Republic of Cuba approved Decree-Law "Amending Law No. 1307," which changes the name of the Higher Institute of International Relations "Raúl Roa García" to the University of International Relations "Raúl Roa García" (ISRI). This change reflects transformations in the Cuban higher education system, academic growth since its inception, and the academic demands of international practice.

As is known, the Higher Institute of International Relations “Raúl Roa García” has been, until now, the name of the entity that edits and publishes the journal Política Internacional.

Consequently, for legal and representational purposes, the University of International Relations “Raúl Roa García” (ISRI) will be, with immediate effect and going forward, the name of the entity that edits and publishes the journal Política Internacional.
