We are pleased to inform you that we have undertaken an update and strengthening of our editorial policies in the journal Política Internacional. These improvements aim to ensure the integrity, transparency and quality of the research published in our journal. The main updates are detailed below:

Policies regarding Errata, Corrections and Retractions.

We have revised and expanded our policies on errata, corrections, and retractions to ensure that any errors identified in published articles are addressed in a timely and appropriate manner. The new guidelines include:

  • A clear procedure for the publication of errata, allowing minor errors to be corrected without affecting the validity of the article.
  • Also defines specific criteria for the submission of more substantial corrections, ensuring that transparency is maintained in the process.
  • It has been implemented a more rigorous protocol for the retraction of articles, which includes a thorough evaluation of the reasons for the retraction and a clear process for its communication to the public.

Complaints and Appeals Policy

In order to improve our editorial process, we have also strengthened our complaints and appeals policy. Updates include:

  • A clear and accessible procedure for authors to submit complaints or appeals about editorial decisions.
  • Specific procedures for reviewing and responding to complaints and appeals.
    We will ensure confidentiality throughout the process, protecting all parties involved.
