Implementation of new editorial policy on the publication of special issues

2024-07-02

We are pleased to inform about the implementation of a new editorial policy that regulates the publication of special issues in our journal Política Internacional. This initiative seeks to encourage the scientific-social impact of the journal through the publication of monographic issues on relevant topics and the dissemination of cutting-edge scientific knowledge.

The proposal for a special issue may have the objective of making visible the results of a congress, seminar or event related to the thematic and editorial profile of the journal, or it may arise as an initiative of the editorial team. Its structure and length will be determined by the Editorial Board.

Articles proposed for a special issue must go through a strict peer review process, following the journal's rules. Authors must comply with the publication policies, including those related to plagiarism, ethics in scientific publication, authorship, originality, copyright, disclosure of conflicts of interest and the use of artificial intelligence models.

The incorporation of this editorial policy is part of the journal's commitment to ensure the ethics and quality of published articles, in line with the code of conduct and good practices defined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Sincerely,

Editorial team of the Journal Política Internacional
