New editorial policy on use of Artificial Intelligence models.

We are pleased to announce that the journal Política Internacional has implemented a new editorial policy on the use of Artificial Intelligence models. This initiative aims to ensure the integrity, transparency, accountability and reliability of the published works we share with our community.

Authors of manuscripts submitted to the journal are responsible for transparently declaring whether they have used any artificial intelligence model during the preparation of their work. This information can be completed in a dedicated section of the Cover Letter that accompanies the manuscript submission.

Artificial Intelligence models should only be used to improve readability, formatting, writing quality, language of the paper, or editing in general; and not to replace key authoring tasks such as content creation, production of scientific knowledge and results, drawing conclusions, or making recommendations.

Importantly, authors are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and originality of the submitted manuscript, including any AI-generated material, and that the work does not infringe on the rights of third parties.
