Imperio y subalternidad: Rusia, China y el discurso postcolonial occidental

En el presente artículo se explora la conversión de temas centrales de la teoría poscolonial en herramientas de análisis de las relaciones internacionales. Aunque la teoría poscolonial adujo desde un comienzo una preocupación emancipadora, su integración en el discurso académico occidental, y, por consiguiente, en la construcción de narrativas políticas, ha derivado en su empleo como un arma en la lucha por la construcción de la representación simbólica del enemigo, a raíz de la agudización de los conflictos internacionales. El objetivo principal de estos ataques, desde la perspectiva de la academia occidental han sido Rusia y China, quienes ocupan en el imaginario político occidental contemporáneo, el rol de principales amenazas al orden liberal imperante. La intensificación de los conflictos y contradicciones con estos países hacen del análisis de esta nueva manifestación ideológica del enfrentamiento un problema relevante para las relaciones internacionales en la contemporaneidad.
