Resumen

El discurso político de los presidentes de Estados Unidos William Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama y Donald Trump hacia la India evidencia el estado de las relaciones bilaterales. La apertura de un nuevo ciclo de vínculos multisectoriales, la lucha contra el terrorismo, la relevancia de la ubicación geográfica estratégica de la India para la política del pívot asiático y el peso que se le otorgó en la proyección norteamericana hacia el Indo-Pacífico, determinó una mayor atención de los gobiernos estadounidenses hacia Nueva Delhi. El uso de marcadores discursivos, los simbolismos, los cortejos y halagos y la apelación a las relaciones personales entre sus líderes influyeron sobremanera en un avance histórico de los lazos políticos, diplomáticos, económicos, comerciales y de seguridad.
