El texto propone una sistematización del debate académico sobre la política exterior cubana. Esta investigación enfatiza en las temáticas más abordadas y los aspectos menos tratados, los períodos históricos investigados con mayor profundidad y las publicaciones más relevantes. También se abordan, desde una perspectiva crítica, las tendencias fundamentales del debate académico que se ha producido sobre la política exterior cubana, así como la obra de los autores más prolíficos y de mayor influencia.
